Singer-Songwriters Heidi Swan and Robin Renée Team Up for the Singer-songwriters Heidi Swan and Robin Renée are teaming up in September 2009 to bring their culture-blending rock, folk, and soul experience to intimate venues in Montana, Washington, and Northern California.  Swan is a Montana native and an out lesbian whose performances have rocked crowds across the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast.   Bisexual artist Robin Renée, who hails from New Jersey, has taken her powerful solo acoustic show from the East Coast into the Midwest and California, and will play for a Montana audience for the first time.  The award-winning performers will make special LGBT-focused appearances -- Queer Birds Calling-- during their Real Birds Calling Tour.

Robin Renee

Robin Renée is Mantra-Pop!  --accessible, lyric-driven alt-folk rock with a spiritual twist.  Conscious and melodic with an edge, think of blending the voices of Chrissie Hynde and Joan Armatrading with the wordsmith intelligence of Elvis Costello and the mystical passion of Indian chant.   In 2004, she was the Bisexual Favorite in the StoneWall Society Pride In The Arts Music Awards.  She has been named one of the Top 12 Out Artists On The Rise by GO NYC Magazine, and among 10 Artists to Watch by Visions Today.  Her queer love anthem “My Bride,” has been included on two compilations – Hot and Sweet (Outmusic) and Marry Me (Fig Jam Entertainment), and she is interviewed about the song in the current issue of Jane & Jane Magazine (www.janeandjane.net).  Her CDs include In Progress (2000), All Six Senses (2002), Live Devotion (2007) and the current spirit.rocks.sexy – mantra-pop headlines from the clairaudient dreams of the evocative Robin Renée.

Heidi Swan

Heidi Swan’s fresh pop makes the body move and calls the heart to listen.  Her performances highlight memorable melodies, on-target lyrics, and a confident, sometimes-gritty voice that tips the hat to Motown.  She has been featured on National Public Radio's Artist Showcase, was the closing act for the famed Mukiltio Lighthouse Festival along with Seattle's own Swamp Mama Johnson, and performed songs from her Plain Words CD at the 2002 Winter Olympics at the Winter Dome in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Swan worked with multi-platinum Los Angeles writer/producer Paul Chiton on her latest CD release, Take It All.  Singles “As Real as It Gets” received a 2008 Honorable Mention from the Independent Singer-Songwriter Association and “Take It All” received the Song of the Year award which supports VH1’s Save the Music Foundation.  (www.songoftheyear.com).
